Rocket Fuel for Breakfast, Gonad Soup for Lunch: The Health Effects of Environmental Pollutants

Hello! Ever since I read Sandra Steingraber’s excellent book _Having Faith: An Ecologist’s Journey to Motherhood_, which discussed the many environmental pollutants which find their way into amniotic fluid and breast milk, I have been on a journey of discovery. The more I learn, the more horrified I become. The more horrified I become, the more I am driven to share, and to teach, and to warn people about how pervasive our polluting and toxic impact on our world has become.

As a nurse, I see the role of healthcare providers as public educators and guides, for if we don’t teach and show the way, who will?

May the information I have collected and share here help to launch you into your own personal journey of discovery and teaching. I warn you, it is awful learning about these trends, but nothing will be accomplished in turning these toxic developments around if we hide our eyes and cover our ears in horror.

I wish you well!
